I have not read any Shakespeare poetry because, in my opinion, the language is difficult to understand. Although from what I can gather, they do address interesting issues and appear to have a decent storyline. I also haven't seen any of his plays, for a similar reason to his poetry, they're difficult to understand.
I also have not read any of his plays, although I would like to, because the things I've heard about it are very positive, and seem quite interesting. I would also like to see the modern versions of his plays, but I believe they may differ too much to the original, and not get across the message Shakespeare had wanted to portray.
I know a very limited amount about Shakespeare's work, however I would like to learn more about them, and see them too.
I don't know whether or not I'd be interested in being in that play, as I haven't done anything like that before, although I believe it is something to consider.
The reason it is considered bad luck to mention the name of the play Macbeth is because the boy playing Macbeth at its first performance died backstage, and this is regarded as unlucky. Also, whenever an acting company was short on funds, they'd perform Macbeth, because it was a short play and usually did well in the box office. This is associated with hard times and a shortage of funds.

1. I believe the author has published More Dangerous Books for Boys because generally males prefer more hands-on activities, and these books seem to be more appealing and involve the reader more so than other books.
2. I believe that, "Readers are the leaders others follow" means that people that read learn more, and that they learn most efficiently and learn the most.
3. I believe teachers, young males and parents interested in their child reading would read this blog. This is because these books are published for young male audience.
4-5. I read 'More Dangerous Books for Boys,' it was advertising some books that the author had written to advertise books for young boys, this is usually because more young males prefer to play sport or video games, over reading.
6. The most appealing part of this blog entry was, "Some of the aspects being promoted about the book include how to tie various knots, to make paper airplanes, or even to build a sort of go-kart," this is because I feel that there's a lack of 'hands-on' books with do it yourself parts.
7. I did not feel obliged to leave a comment, as the author would most likely not have the time to respond, and those sorts of books did not really appeal to me - I believe a younger audience would find them more appealing.

Usually, I find books through recommendations made by my friends, or other people that have recommended that it was a good book. Sometimes I read books that have an enticing cover which appeals to my preferred sort of book genre. I usually use these methods because I am usually only interested in reading books thart appeal to me, and usually my friends read similar genres to me.
I do believe these methods for searching for books is effective, because when I do find a book I do enjoy reading them. Although, I also think that I could refine this method, because I do not read a lot, and this suggests that I should use an alternate method for finding books.
The reason I am reading the book that I am is because it is a sequel to one I previously read. I have read many books by the same author and find his writing style unique and effective, and as a result, I am enjoying this book.
I would recommend this book to others, in fact I would recommend the series to others, because I believe the author has created a humourous storyline and good characters to go with it, I also believe that many people would enjoy it, some may view this story as childish, but in my opinion, it's quite clever.

Zombie Bums from Uranus
1. My character's name is Zack, he is about 14 years old and is a white adolescent. He is missing his bum because it ran away from him. He lives with his Grandmother who is an ex-bum fighter, he believes he is overprotected and smothered by his carer. His friends are a group of bum fighters. The group includes a young girl named Ellanor, who is about the same age as Zack, the Kicker, who is about 25 years old, the Smacker, and the Kisser, both who are about the same age. This book is told mainly from the point of view of Zack, and is written in past tense.
2. The author has created this character because he has the traits of a leader, and the group listens to his ideas and input. Because his parents were killed, he has grown stronger, both mentally and emotionally.
3. If Zack was a female, the story might differ to how it is now. I believe the author would not have made Zack such a strong leader, and that this would effect how the reader viewed Zack, and that would make the entire story different, and most likely not as enjoyable.

1. I believe people would rather write a blog over a diary as a blog as more influence, and is exposed to more people. A diary is more formal, and certain people would prefer to keep their thoughts and feelings to themselves. It depends on what sort of person you are, and if you want your feelingss exposed.
2. I believe a blog is difference to a diary, as diary is generally set out in a more formal way, and a blog is exposed to pretty much everyone who has access to the internet. As a result, people who prefer to have their feelings private might prefer a diary.
3. The blog I analyzed was called 'Soft jazz and upchuck'. It was written by Simmone Howell, an author. She's writing it to give people a more informed opinion about the lifestyles of writings, and trying to intrigued other people to read and write.
They update it quite regularly and provide long responses. The blog is aimed at people approximately 15 years old, as it incorporates humour and modern language to get across to young readers.

Short Stories
I have recently read two short stories, the first being the Invisible Man, by H.G. Wells. It's an interesting book which begins with a stranger arriving at an inn. The stranger's face is covered in bandages and long clothing. There is a recent theft incident and the police and local villagers believe the stranger has been involved. This book is in the Penguin Readers series.
The second book is called Hunter's Moon, by John Townsend. It retells a story of a man who works as a gamekeeper in the woods. His boss is mysteriously injured and there are animal marks on the trees. Neil becomes scared and searches for a reason for all the peculiar things that have been happening. This is part of the Shade series.
I enjoyed the mystery of Hunter's Moon, and believe it had a good storyline and it was rather easy to follow. It was a rather easy read, and got into the plot quickly.
I also enjoyed the Invisible Man, because I've heard a lot of people speak of it, and I agree that it is a good book. It wasn't overly long, but it did have a good story. It was written a long time ago and some of the vocabulary it uses is a bit difficult to interpret.
I enjoyed reading the short stories, as the ones I had picked to read had good plots and got into them quickly. In my opinion, I believe that most novels don't have enough action in them, and think that the introductions lead on too long, and as a result, I quickly lose interest. This is not the case with short stories though, as they are unable to drag the book on for ever. I would likely pick another short story, because of the reason I mentioned earlier.
Thanks.

My Reading Ability
I have been into reading since a young age, my oldest memories are of my Mother reading me Doctor Suess and the Spot the Dog series. Reading was one of my favourite past times as a young child. Since grade 3, I have been reading short novels, and as a result, my reading ability grew and strengthened.
I believe my reading ability was due to the fact that my Mother was an avid reader, as she has been partaking in university level studies for several years, and as a result, her and I would spend hours reading together.
My passion for reading developed for when I began reading the Goosebumps series by RL Stein. I remember being afraid of the characters in the stories, as they were usually monsters. These sorts of books were my favourite, as you were able to choose your ending. Also, this books were always full of action, and have exciting storylines.
